Just down Bloomingdale Road in Akron, NY — minutes from Thruway Exit 48A — 49 Express Pit Stop sits on the Tonawanda Indian Reservation as a hometown rez retailer. New York State sales tax on fuel and tobacco does not apply here.

Eric and Eileen opened the doors in 1993. It's veteran-owned — Eric served in the USMC — and built for neighbors, travelers, and race fans who want a real pit stop, not a chain clone.

The “49” started as Eric's first Go-Kart racing number and stayed with him through Drags, Super Dirt Late Models, NASCAR, ARCA, and Winged Dirt Sprinters. That number still marks the place.

Today you'll find more than gas: local favorites, propane, cold drinks, and the kind of community loyalty only a family stop earns over decades.
